FLO, YO'

Meet DOUBLE's new assistant extraordinaire: FLO GALARZA. Interests include: Neon sunglasses, Pennyloafers, and Snocones. Flo@doubleny.com.

IT'S BLACK, IT'S WHITE, IT'S JUST RIGHT

We've always been mad about plaid. Maybe it's in the Vivienne Westwood in us but we just had to post a pict of our favorite video whiz kid and super production coordinator Andy Carlson doing a new kind of camo on the set of Urban Outfitters. It's the final day of shooting and quite possibly our fav job ever! But then again, with luxuries like this, who could blame us.

URBAN-OUTFITTED

We just love living up to our name. DNY coordinated two delicious shoots for Urban Outfitters at the same time, bc we just knew it was the perfect fit... pun intended. With yummy outdoor lifestyle imagery courtesy of the lovely Jack Siegel (check out Skullset.com) & sundrenched studio shots by the cool Nacho Alegre, the shoot has been absolutely amazing and a testament to the true power of walkie talkies. Look for the back to school campaign from UO to break this August.

Very Elle, J'Taime!

We're proud to say we've been keeping up on our blogging, but we were ECSTATIC when a pic of the new Very ELLE cover from the streets of Paris blasted into our inbox from our favorite LA centric photographer Amanda de Cadenet. Run out and get a copy; it's ELLE's new publication that's way more of an art book than your average fashion mag. Amanda shot an A-MA-ZING 20 page portfolio of her dear friend Amber Valetta, and the rest is fashion history. Here's a sneak peak.

We've been slightly m.i.a. but never fear, there's tons thats been happening. For instance, last Friday we had an amazing shoot with the French Kicks for a Converse advertorial which will grace the pages of Rolling Stone this spring. Wanna see more? Here's a little behind the scenes action!

(For the record, the French Kicks were way cool)

This summer, Double NY teamed up with Filomeno superstar photog Christophe Kutner. All energy, all fun, and totally fabulous, the 8-day supershoot for the Nokia Campaign just hit billboards back in the former USSR... and we know how lucky we are, boy. With cool-kid casting by Development's Douglas Perret, styling by the supersweet Romina Herrara Malatesta, and hair and makeup by superstar Francisco Vallera, it's no wonder the campaign created with Bates Asia & Grey London is breaking news worldwide.

THE REAL GOSSIP

Have you heard that Double NY is repping photogs? We have too. And while we can't confirm the rumors, we will say we just love the gossip. Point in case, Double NY producer Jamie McPhee popped on set of the Gossip Girl Guys shoot for Out Magazine. Her double-life (pun intended) as Kenneth Cappello's studio manager evidentally comes with perks, because she says the boys from everyone's favorite show are hot for a reason and this story proves it... just ask Perez Hilton.

Production: Out Magazine. Genius Preppy Props: Out Magazine. Photog: Kenneth Cappello. Grooming: Roderick Ortega. Fashion & Style Director: Gregory Wein. Senior Market Editor: Seth Howard. Art Director: Nick Vogelson. Photo Director: Jo-ey Tang.

MISCHA IS OUR VALENTINE!

Yikes. We're so behind on our bloggin'. So you've already coveted the cover (it was out in January) but we just had to post our number one girlcrush Miss Mischa Barton. Shot by hot photog Kenneth Cappello with styling by Brit It Girl Victoria Adcock at Pier 59, the day clearly went to the dogs as Mischa's pooch Ziggy and Cappello's favorite 4-lb lady Ciccolina hammed it up on set. With makeup by the magical Maki Ryoke and gorgeous locks Benoit Moeyaert, it's no wonder this story makes our heart go thump.

GOD BLESS AMERYKAH

Pow. Pow. Pow. That's what you get when you've got two Texans on one shoot. Houston's favorite son Kenneth Cappello turned it out with Dallas beauty Ms. Erykah Badu. Superstylist Jason Farrer spun her into a pure technicolor dream while the crew got a preview of her new banging album. Giant Magazine's Creative Director (and former AD of The Face) Graham Rounthwaite jetted in from London to see it all first hand, calling the story 'tops' in true Brit fashion.
